Medill Summer Visit Day 7/19/19

Description: Attend some of our Medill Fridays sessions, meet current students and attend an information session during one of our Summer Medill Visit Days.

You're invited to visit Medill on Friday, July 19 for the following itinerary:

9:30 a.m.
Hear from Mago Torres, a journalist, researcher and investigative reporter based in Chicago. Torres' work focuses on rights to information and data journalism. Her latest investigation, "2,000 Clandestine Graves," documents hundreds of grave sites discovered across Mexico due to the drug wars. Torres speaks on self-help issues critical to protecting investigative reporters in the field and back home.

10:45 a.m.
Hear from Odette Yousef, a reporter on WBEZ's Race, Class and Communities team. Since joining the station in 2010, Yousef has covered immigration, homelessness and access to services for low-income Chicagoans. Yousef will talk about her enterprise, investigative and data reporting.

12 p.m.
Lunch

1 p.m.
Information session on the Medill MSJ program, including information on the program, the application process and financial aid.
